Vie Buon
A moment to unwind in the city.
At Vie Bon in Nishi-Gotanda, savor binchotan charcoal skewers, seafood pasta, and authentic Treviso-style tiramisu alongside an inviting selection of Italian wines.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
In Nishi-Gotanda, Vie Bon (ヴィエ ボン) sets itself apart by pairing the aromatic char of charcoal-grilled skewers with the comforts of an Italian dining room. Simple skewers double as wine-friendly appetizers, from Tsugaru chicken thigh accented with wholegrain mustard to chicken hearts seasoned with Sicilian Motia sea salt. Beef skirt steak glazed in rich balsamic and giant black tiger prawns paired with lemon marmellata provide further easy-to-order pairings for a drink.
The pasta menu is just as varied, featuring a rich Roman-style carbonara crafted without heavy cream, a pescatore brimming with blue shrimp and mussels, and a limone sauce combining Parmigiano with zesty lemon. During lunch hours, pasta sets served with salad and a warm potage offer an easy midday option favored by locals in the neighborhood.
To close out the meal, the standout choice is the house tiramisu, prepared to the original recipe learned firsthand by the chef while training in Treviso, Veneto—the birthplace of the dessert. With regional Italian wines by the bottle, spumante, and digestif grappas on hand, the relaxed dining room offers an inviting setting to linger from the first bite through dessert.
